There is a debate as to whether machines will eliminate the need for human employment.
A consulting group based in Boston predicts that by 2025, up to a quarter of jobs will be replaced by robots or smart software. Oxford university has predicted that 35% of existing UK jobs are at risk of automatian in the next 20 years.
Such jobs that involve writing reports or drawing up spreadsheets are easily replaced with software. But there are also some jobs such as taxi driving and factory workers and journalists and even cocktail waiters that could be potentially replaced by advanced Artifial Intelligence (A.I).
All i know is that engaging in some essential office banter won't be on their task list. Shame.
