Man jailed for Dark Web drug offences

A Ceredigion man has been jailed for two years after he admitted five offences on the 'dark web'.

He pleaded guilty to possession of Class A and B drugs and supplying or offering to supply.

The dark web is made up of sites which do not show up on regular internet searches and is an anoynmous, virtually untraceable global network.

Owens was arrested alongside others, after he committed offences on the silk road 2.0 illicit marketplace.

Through this site and a few others, officers were able to find evidence of at least 444 deals Owens had made since October 2013.

Upon entering his property, police found cannabis resin, herbal cannabis, MDMA and magic mushrooms.
